Facebook and Twitter statistics. Why does my petition have more "likes" than signatures. What has happened to my facebook likes?

Sometimes a petition will receive more facebook likes than signatures. This may occur because some supporters only wish to "like" and not sign, perhaps for privacy or personal reasons. Some supporters don't want to give their information away in the form of a "signature" and therefore prefer to "like". Having more "likes" does not mean that you have lost signatures. It may simply mean that you have broader support. Please also note that if you request a new petition url, then your new page will not have the facebook and twitter data that you collected on your original page. You may however, collect new likes, and the old likes should still be veiwable on facebook.
